2330 Landrum Court is only a hop, skip and a jump from the Freeman's Mill Elementary School in Gwinnett County. It opened in the Fall of 1999 and the student population has since grown to over 900 in grades kindergarten through 5th. In the 1800's when John W. Freeman, Winfield Scott Freeman and Dr. Samuel Harris Freeman were the first postmaster, grist mill owner and doctor in the Dacula area, they never imagined their family's impact would be recognized over one hundred years later with an elementary school named for them. The leadership provided by the Freeman family helped prepare their community for the 20th century. Freeman's Mill Elementary is preparing a new generation for the challenges of the 21st century. This description of the elementary school was taken directly from the school website. You can also visit the school website and see the great test scores. All news and events are posted there. http://www.gwinnett.k12.ga.us/FreemansMillES/home.html
